Benez Mraz Sokol M1C aircraft for sale, £32,000
This Sokol M1C (built in 1947) is a low-wing, two-seat, tail-wheel aircraft with a manually operated retractable undercarriage and fixed-pitch wooden propeller. It cruises at 125mph on about 25 litres per hour. It is the only one flying in the UK, and is one of only 3 flying in the world.
It is always hangered, is in good condition, and has a permit to fly until March 2022.
It comes with a spare Walter Minor engine (which was running when removed but requires a top-end overhaul), a number of spare parts, and an Icom handheld radio connected to a two-place intercom.
The airframe has logged 1450 hours, and the engine has 200 hours SMOH.
The aircraft is based at Turweston Aerodrome, Northamptonshire.
