The Mike Oscar Group has operated since 1997 out of a hangar at Wellesbourne with member instructors who can help convert to type. Considerable work has just been completed with the installation of a Vintech overhauled zero timed engine with overhauled magnetos, starter motor, vacuum pump and generator, plus a brand new propellor. A replacement portside fuel bladder was just fitted, all TNS's are up to date and the aircraft has a 12 month Permit to Fly. The group has considerable spares including two overhauled magnetos, an exhaust, wheels and tyres, canopy with perspex, starboard fuel bladder, a host of many other parts, and is sufficiently well equipped and tooled to undertake all maintenance in-house.
Airframe total time 9200 hours; Engine Zero time; New Propeller, Wing fatigue hours remaining 8,600 – 11,000hrs. Twin head Trig TY91 radio 8.33 front and rear, Trig Mode S front cockpit and a G-meter.
